Todd is mourning the loss of one of his patients, who took their life. Todd is a therapist, and he genuinely cares for his clients and wants to help them out as best as he can. He wants to see his patients find a light during their dark times, see their potential shine, and to help them through their problems. Todd feels like he should have done more or wishes he could have done something to prevent his late patient from ending it all.Thankfully his hubby, Ben, knows how to comfort this sad squirrel. Todd's gonna need a shoulder to cry on, too, and lots of hugs.
Todd is such a sweet, empathetic soul.

Poor baby Loosing someone you've bonded with is incredibly hard
especially by suicide since you start to feel at fault by thinking "I could have prevented this."
But it's important to know that we can't always prevent others from doing such things, as upsetting as it is.
Negative outside factors can always delay a person's progress in mental health, this is something my own therapist told me.
I hope Todd understands this and doesn't beat himself over it.
Showing support and being there for the individual shows care and I'm sure Todd's client felt that before they passed away.

I can only imagine how hard it is. The guilt and the regret of not reaching out and talking more.
Unfortunately, we can't save everyone, but we can sure as hell try.
He knows he shouldn't be too hard on himself, but his emotions sometimes get the better of him during this type of circumstance.
I bet they did. But they gave into their inner demons.
