Description
Well... This is a work in progress still... a few really little details still yet to add a few small details to the character and a background... and I usually spend two to three times as long on the backgrounds as I do everything else...I may have something in mind for the background, but doing it is a whole other story.

Also, this is my blademaster from the game Perfect World International. ^^ level 7x fist user, Kyna.
Will post the totally finished product... urm.. eventually.....
Edit: Added more shading to the armor o.o I think it looks much better than it did. ^^ I also made her head less... tall... after I realized just how big her forehead was x_x I think that's what was bothering me.
Edit 2: I thought her face was too manly!!!!! So I fix it
Edit3: still thought her face was a little manly... -_-; thus the tweak fest continues....
Edit 4: ^^ thanks to my friend, I think I now know what it was that was bugging me about this picture so damn badly x_x I had defined the nose too much and it was throwing off everything else... sooo, I softened it up a bit. Despite being badass... Kyna is still a girl xD
And I've had the urge lately to redraw this....

^^ thanks! The armor design actually comes from the game Perfect World International. It's pretty funny that it seems to have some kind of Aztec influence since the game is Chinese in origin. Thanks for pointing that out though, for some reason I couldn't seem to put my finger on what kind of influence it had in the look lol.

The armor design would have to go to Perfect World International. >_> it was the only heavy armor design that looked half way interesting lol. The magic effect around the fist is because PWI is really lazy about their fist weaponry and that basically looks like the graphics for the level 70 fist weapon...

^^ thank you. Yeah I'm not sure what to do about it at the moment. It's a little hard to just bump up the contrast without it looking more yellow than it already does xD. It didn't look that way on my computer when I was coloring it but apparently my screen isn't quite right x_x

Great job so far! I love the colors and how they're very earthy against the bright red hair!

The only thing I can see wrong is how the chest armor is bent. Despite the fact that her body is twisted to the right, the front most part of her armor stick out to use completely, assuming the right wing on her armor is straight and not crooked, it should be facing at an angle like the rest of her.
Aside from that, maybe a little more light on the right side of her nose would help (the shadow separating the tip and the nostril looks out of place), and maybe making her lips less glossy and more muted. There's also a thin shadow next to her left brow, which to me looks out of place, but I can't tell if that was done on purpose to make it look like she was frowning. That's all just my personal preference, though.
Any mistakes that you do have are very hard to notice (personally, I didn't even see the armor quirk, my boyfriend pointed that out when he was looking over my shoulder, and that seems like the only really odd part of this). So far so good, can't wait to see it finished.

what armor quirk? I'm so confused x_x I totally didn't follow the first part of what you said. Is it just the wing things?
The armor in the game itself is kinda... blahhhh. It bends all funny so using that as a reference probably didn't help much.

Yeah, it's mostly the wings on the front of the armor. My boyfriend kept saying it's the whole front of the armor (hence why I didn't specify earlier) but upon reconsideration, I think the wings just make the a few of the other embellishments appear to be twisted, even though they're not.

Haha, no, I doubt he took that into consideration.
I wouldn't be so upset over it, though. Again, it's just a minor flaw, and we all have those hiding somewhere or another in our works. Still a great pic so far.
