Omg, My whole day off I worked on this lol, From 7AM until 4:30PM
This is 's original character, Shaelynn Sinclair! Who I took the liberties to read about to make sure I got everything right. I do think that the bottom there was supposed to be ice :/ I tried to color it that way but with the lighting it just didn't look right so I settled for shooting for a water type look instead since I think it was said somewhere in that long character description that she has an ice/water affinity.
This was so amazingly detailed and so much fun to color no matter how exhausting lol x_x I was gonna add more but I think this is a good stopping point. My fingers hurt and I think I'm going to go eat something now... maybe ... possibly, hopefully xD

EDIT: Cropped it a little at the bottom. I originally didn't really want to do that but it did cut off really awkwardly at the bottom of the ice/water

Not for me lol, I didn't do the line art, I only did the colors. For that kind of request you'd have to go to the lineartist.

Really dynamic work. Nice movement and line flow. I love the detail in the figure's outfit and the shading/highlighting of the skin looks very nice.

That's true, I suppose, but you stayed true to the lines with your color. You did nice work with the shading in the wings and cloth which I think added a greater sense of movement. The background fits well with what was already there and the lightning makes it more exciting.

O________O Ho...shiii girl! This is EPIC! I LOVE the dark tones to this, and the water effects on the base works well, like she's rising from a self cast geyser to strike! I just love her skin tone too! And the fact that you actually researched into her too! *_________* ILU!!! Seriously, amazing!!!

There's a lot of great detail here. The ice issue was noted. But also it seems her thighs are out of proportion to the rest of her body. Otherwise, it's great.

Really cool. I like the coloring of the skin and armor especially. The hair is really great, too. The only thing that I would say is awkward is that there's no ground that the ice is resting on. It seems like there should be *something* there for it to be resting on (if the ice wasn't flat looking on the bottom, it wouldn't be as odd looking, but I can see that was a part of the original line art).

yeah, and if you wanted to keep the lightning, you'd have to draw a horizon and I know how much those suck... >_>; I don't really blame you for leaving the ice floating in mid air.

well I do believe that when she drew this she had intended it for a contest where the winner would have a sculpted piece done in the likeness of their drawing. So in that case the abrupt cut off would make sense xD but yes, I got a little lazy.

only every once in a while can I find someone that knows what they're talking about there so I figured I'd chance it. I don't care if the rest of them hate me xD they've already told me my lighting is bad and my colors are "not in harmony with each other."

xD I don't know. the base color of everything is dark blue since I shade from the bottom layer up. I'm still trying to figure out how my lighting is horrible too xD it's obvious that the lightning in the background is only a secondary light source.

They probably figured that the lightning should be more realistic. Personally, I don't think it looks bad, I just think you probably drew it quickly since it was just a background piece...
