Description
ah, yes... such a joy to be around.as Seth won the character poll, he graces you with his Danzig hair and ever-delightful presence this autumn, bringing the greetings of the season. he invites you along for a night of Oktoberfest beer, sugar abuse, toilet paper, arson, property destruction and other mischief. shaking down trick-or-treaters is also a time-honored tradition; do you honestly think he went door-to-door for all that candy himself? PLZ.
and that's just in the 'burbs; can't forget also wandering the strip for cider and jello shots and the exploitation of drunk co-eds in porn-shop Halloween costumes, shamelessly baring what's left to the imagination for tootsie rolls and plastic mardi gras beads. careful ladies, he is not really your 'bro' and he's not really going to take you to a romantic graveyard and write you something on his acoustic guitar. he'll say he will, just so you'll follow him there and maybe blow him or something. take my advice: kick him in the balls, steal his candy, and run for your life.
not the most original choice of song, but once i had the costume idea in my head i was sold. not like I'd already done it before yet, gotta have just one 'Fits Halloween pic fercrissakes. the title was a joke between me and ~StitchFacedAngel fucking with the lyrics singing it at work.
good times.
old memories.
what a quick, sneaky year it's been.
as for the rest of you, safe and happy Hallo for you all.
Bonfires burning bright,
pumpkin faces in the night,
I remember Halloween--
dead cats hanging from poles,
and Little Dead are out in droves.
I remember Halloween.
Brown-leafed vertigo,
where the skeletal life is known.
I remember Halloween--
this day, anything goes,
burning bodies hanging from poles.
I remember Halloween.
Candy apples and razorblades,
Little Dead are soon in graves,
I remember Halloween...
Halloween song/lyrics © 1981 Glenn Danzig/The Misfits.

Pretty awesome work here, i love the coloring here, and his outfit and look.
his halloween outfit Kinda reminds me style wise of heavily inspired misfits style band "balzacs" look, witht he skeleton attire, spiky and stylize hair, and such, except Balzac usually wears paper bags on there head with eyeholes and such.
great work, looks really cool.

well it was actually drawn directly from the the ol' fits themselves. Balzac i remember trying out but somehow lost the tracks... don't think i woulda deleted em, dunno what happened. ah whatev it was like five years ago anyway.
but yeah that explains the look... funny you'd say Balzac when it's actually 9as you noted) more reminiscent of their inspiring band. thanks for diggin it! and happy hallo's!

no it wouldn't have, that's not even a word!
and yeah, it is odd... also that the food they give out is so nutritively worthless.

glow teeth? like, vampire teeth or regular glow-in-the-dark grills!? i mean the former is popular round halloweentime but... the latter would floor me.
i'm glad you noticed the candycarrot! AND liked his hair. i wasn't sure folks would like his full- black dyejob... i'm not even sure anyone notices it with the lighting.
happy Halloween dude!

ew, the American voice probably. he goes to like, EVERYTHING. it's not that he's not some "super kawaii" asian guy that i warrant my lack of excitement to, it's the fact that he did a shitful job of voicing Greed.

the neon was fucking... a feat of engineering. getting it to glow wasn't any work though it's completely raw here, the colors are just bright and it's the top layer. but getting it to... look right... *headdesk*
thank you very much for noticing it as a fellow vecker.

sparkpenguin In reply to Vashtastic [2008-10-15 08:34:58 +0000 UTC]
the glowing, or the shape?
the shape i just made a prefab circle, selected all the points > duplicate with no offset > contract the new selected points, then skewed it in the shape selector til it was the right shape. then i cut it to disappear behind his neck and closed off the open ends there
i did it for a halo in another picture i did, but that didn't have an outline.... getting the outline on this to be the same color alignment but essentially different colors (had to lighten them by hand in the gradient options) was precarious, had to make sure it didn't try to reset to another gradient pattern or they wouldn't have lined up with one another. and STILL i don't know that tool palette well enough to avoid it doing something like that every time i try since i just muddle through it and never read the manual. XD

oh even in costume he's such a scene kid. the glow sticks are a nice touch, haha. i like this a lot. My only issue is with the hands, but that could just be me being high off of coffee right now, haha.
I love his hair. though for a second I almost confused him with Levy. It was a 'yaaaaaaaaa... oh wait, no, damn it' moment. you know you have those all the time.
...shaking down tricker treaters? he better hope not one of those is my brother when I'm with him. I'll beat the crap out of him, haha.

awwww man. -_- you didn't recognize the hair then. it's not Levy's style or Seth's usual style, it's based on Glenn Danzig in the early eighties: [link]
you probably could beat the crap out of him too.

meh i don't really pay attention much. you should know that by now. that and i tend to go through periods of isolation, like recently I do not want to be around anyone for some reason on my days off. I had to finally just have EVERYONE over so that I could get it out of my system. though today, oh today is for me. ^^
Misfits are popular among the underculture folk, haha, otherwise movies that I like wouldn't be very well known. Like Boondock Saints? It didn't do well at the box office but all the kids I know have seen it and think its the best movie ever. Me included.
