Sadly, once Mighty No. 9 starts to become successful, Crapcom will try to sue the pants off of Inafune and Comcept...
... However, with how little money they have and how much material for a truly damning case against them(not the least of which being legions of angry/cheated fans/would-be costumers), will they be willing to risk it?

They won't HAVE to risk it considering the disaster it regrettably became. The legion of upset fans with Inafune and Comcept failing to deliver will do far more damage than Capcom could ever hope for.

Cancelling numerous Mega Man game projects and putting their blue bomber in the dark was Capcom's sin. Mighty no. 9 is their punishment (If not a lunatic who invades their corporate HQ to slaughter everyone inside is a bad idea for a punishment.) Mighty no. 9 is just the right punishment.

Well from what I can tell CAPCOM is in a rut. It can't really advance the Megaman franchise because the entire Megaman franchise is simply moving forward and doing tiny experiments from time to time.
Nintendo, this sort of experimentation is their bread and butter. Hell they are willing to give a crazy chance as the Metroid Prime series showed us (and by god was it successful! I got both Prime and Echos!)!

apart from that though, I think Capcom is eyeing Inafune's movement! maybe that's why they didn't produce any Megaman game recently! if this game exceed the expectation, then I think Capcom willΒ make a contractΒ with Comcept.inc as a developerΒ to produce megaman games!
