Lucas was taken aback by Ares' glare. These were their kits, what was wrong? He looked over to Iris, but she only seemed defeated, tired after the long labour of birth.

"What's wrong my love?" Lucas spoke cautiously to his mate. They had worked so hard to have these kits, Lucas practically begged his best friend Iris to carry the kits for them, what was going through Ares' head?

"They're weaker than I imagined." Ares grumbled. Lucas barely caught it.

"Well, they're young. They will grow with time." Lucas reasoned, but he could see darkness cloud his mates vision.

"Kill them. They are of no use to me." Ares turned to leave the room, only to be stopped by his flustered mate.

"Excuse me?! They are your children!" Lucas yelled, feeling anger seep into his words. How dare Ares ask for their kits to die?

"What did you say?" Ares asked as his head swung in order to glare at Lucas. "Did you dare question your king?" Ares turned to Iris, "If Lucas refuses, you will kill them, understood?"

Iris bowed her head, tears streaming down her face as she looked at the kits. "Yes, sir..." she mumbled as Ares finally left the room.

Anyways, I see this kind of playing out how it would in canon. Iris would take the kits and give them to rouges instead of killing them herself, only because her love for her best friend would have prevented her from killing the kits off herself. She would tell Lucas, but he would be prevented from ever seeing his kits again. Also, cause I know some people may be confused, Jackson and Vivian would still be Ares' biological kits, so ye, they're still demons.

Iris would be tasked with killing the king and queen's kits like the canon, and also like the canon, would ask Lucas to raise Lunis and Apollo with her. I imagine Lucas and Iris would die in opposite ways though, so Iris dies in Episode 5 instead of Lucas, and Lucas would have the stand off with Ares and Vixy instead of Iris.
