Sketch --> Lineart --> Flat --> Final PieceThought wanna show you folks on the process of my previous art, TT - The Ladies . I'm not going into details though, but just wanna let you know that I sketch my all my drawings on computer, not on paper.
As you can see, the first sketch looks totally different than the final version. That's because I revised 'em before I start coloring. Anyway, I hope ya'll like this pointless deviation.
Tools Used: Paint Shop Pro 9, WACOM Graphire 3 (tablet)

Whoa, so you sketch the pics on a tablet, then colour, edit and add background to the pic with photoshop? Okay... So to get the sketch to become the outline, you go over it with Pen tool is it?
(I've never used a tablet before, I don't even know what's a tablet before I looked it up on the internet... T__T)

Very cool! Do you use the Bezier curves in the Pen Tool for the lineart? That's what I do.

ummm do you have a specail paint thing on your computer? cause i use microsoft paint and not only does it take me forever to finish but it never looks the way i want it to

This wasn't pointless, but a tool for others to see just how the process goes. Certainly to see a sketch and a final piece side by side is daunting. But when broken down into smaller, more coherent parts, the process from start to finish becomes all the clearer for others to observe, understand, and learn from it.

Those are basically the steps I go through. XD I think the pen tool is evil. D= It took me way to long to get used to.

that's interesting to see, it gives me inspiration for drawing pics on photoshop. my dad's getting me a tablet when he's got enough money but i don't know what kind.

I think it gives some interesting insight on how you go from sketch to full art. I was always under the impression that the Lineart stage was where artists actually started from.

but how do you pass from the sketche to the lineart ?

I use 'Pen' tool for the lineart.
