Okay, this was hard and my right hand is killing me. TAT This was so much FUN!!*you'll hear that a lot* xD

Usha means (as far as I can tell) Dawn in Sanskrit- I was looking for a last name for her but she ended up with a first name for a last name. XD

Oddy the Oddish is there for show! Even though she wanted to be a part of it. TAT The hard choices in life.

This is for the contest, it's the application round, and I just got it in before it was over and I was just finishing up the writing now at 11:16pm (New York time).
Anyway onto other things.

Fashion - Casual baggy-clothed Punk The first words that came to my mind when I was done drawing the Character Design.

I.C. color info~

I prefer to shade over coloring

Hooded sweater is yellow (white parts), gold (slightly shaded areas), and purple (shaded strip parts). The triangle is silver.

Hat is yellow(white parts), and purple (dark parts). The circle thing is gold.

Baggy pants are light blue, but it can also be dark blue.

Alternate outfit (your left): Black for the shirt and gold around the edges. The arm sleeves are black, and her shorts are pale blue. Boots are brown and ribbon is maroon.

Alternate outfit (your right): The white part is white and the dark part is black. The jewel on the blouse is light blue and the boots are dark grey.

Accessories:

Backpack was given to her when she first started her journey to Prof. Oak's Lab. I holds most everything she own- i.e. TMs, HMs, Pokeballs, Map, Zero Dx, cloths, food and anything along those lines. The colors for them are blue and white.

Pokeballs-they currently hold the team (her left-arm inner to outer) Surf, Dew, Charz, and (her right-arm inner to outer) Typh, Blazi, and Sonya.

Hyper Potions- 43 of them now.

Arm bands– Since she lost her belt when she was going through Route 1- a Rattata ran off with it, so the Nurse Joy in Viridian City gave her these- i.e. to the white cross. The colors are red and white.

Map– it really should say ‘maps’ because all the maps she has received are in there. It is on (her) right strap of her backpack.

Zero Dx(dex)– This is what you get when you let a Sparks touch a Pokedex. Shamus (Villian’s, Flame’s, and Emerald’s Dad) met up with I.C. in Pewter City to just ‘see’ it. The next morning when she got it back, it looked like this. She’s had this since the beginning of journey and it’s still in pristine shape. Inside the device there is a computerized ‘being’, he prefers to go by Sync instead of ‘Zero’ and has acted as a guide towards I.C. It has only been recently that he has finally became friends with I.C, he is very stubborn. Zero Dx is on the (her) left strap, and because of the wires that are attached to it, Sync is able to move it back and forth to an extent. The colors are silver, gold, and black.

Bell- it has always been with her. She never removes it, but wears in different places- i.e. to the 2nd alternate outfit where it is attach to the circle-thing.

Hat- She refuses to take it off, but only takes it off when she’s alone, or with Roden and Sam, or her Pokemon. The hat can be loosened or tighten by using the circle-thing. She started wearing it after visiting Terracotta town before she left for Hoenn.

I.C. Usha

History: I.C. was about 5 when she, along with her older twin brothers, Roden (15) and Sam (15), arrived to Terracotta Town. After the passing of their adoptive parents in a car crash, Roden suggested they should stay with his friend that lived in the coastal town. The Sparks’ household was a fusion between an auto repair shop and mock hotel- Villian usually suggests to friends to crash there, not that it bothers her parents but it becomes a little heretic at times. When our group arrives to find the house is , not that wasn’t odd enough, but Kiki (Villian’s mother) comes out to asked if anyone has seen a fireball.

Getting tired of staying in that hel… harmonious household, Sam went on to compete in the Terracotta Town Contest Festival to receive the prize money, so they could move into a home of their own. After winning the competition by a landslide, he went and bought the house. You’d think that after several months you think there would be a little argument on this manner, but of course there would be. I.C. didn’t want to leave the home because she felt she wouldn’t see her friends again- Flame, his little sister Emerald, and Flame’s Bulbasaur. Sam and her had a big blow out, and she ran away.

Roden found I.C. with a wounded Charmander in the fields, and after a long persuasion later, he was able to convince her that she would still be able to see her friends it just would take a couple of minutes- that and she needed to take Charz to the Pokemon center.

Several months later she met Flame’s friends, who were traveling to see family that lived in other regions- Ben Guardian, Pixs Fairsbi, Aurora Marina, Seth & Merci Silverwolfe, Elly Laosily, Dave Marronis, and Brooke & Rob Kellithe. The sketchs of these guys will be up in a bit.

She started her journey through Kanto at age 10, then at age 11 though Johto, then Hoenn 12, and then Sinnoh at 13. Each journey took about a year, and now she is 14. Off to the Frontier!! xD

Her plans for this Battle Frontier...

Since I just finished with the Sinnoh gyms, I thought it would be fun to experience a different part of the battle experience and meet people who are also interested. Plus, nothing much like a challenge!

Personality
I.C.'s personality is that she is blunt when talking, not that she's being rude...it's more that she is honest. She prefers to travel alone, but her stal...friends usually meet up with her if they happen to cross paths- though they do tend to follow her. Though she doesn't look it, she's actually pretty strong and has a hard time keeping it in check. Likes talking face-to-face to people, and doesn't notice (or chooses to ignore) people who are rude and just politely talks back- though there was a time when someone went too far and Typh had to pull her off him. She trusts/believes her pokemon completely, and has a fair judgement of character.

~Not much of a writer, am I? Her backstory isn't as strong as it should be because she already has one and that is even harder to explain. xD I’m going to go through the oldest to youngest.

Charz the Charizard

Story:Charz met I.C. during a downpour of rain, but he was severely wounded *his scar* by a Rattata. After getting him all fixed up, he just stayed at the house. Note that he was really young, and this caused random fires (I.C. called this‘training’) at the Usha Household. The several years before leaving for their journey, they trained (mostly played) with the other kids, and just enjoyed the time they had.

He has been with I.C. the longest, but because he didn’t go with her to Johto he is not the strongest in stats- this irks him a bit but he is the toughest. He gets along well with the others- he usually butts heads with Typh, and likes to battle with them all- more of training with Sonya, too.

He is rash and hates to lose. Depends on the situation if he stays in his pokeball or not- prefers to be out. He likes to play games, and his favorite came is chess- this was because Roden did not want the house to burn down and spent about 3 hours teaching them how to play. He also like to bite Sam's head- this usually causes a war and Sam sends out his Togepi(this Togepi is scary) to fight.

Story:When Prof. Oak was going to get some of the starter pokemon’s pokeballs, Surf was out of his pokeball to go get his daily Poke, and his light ball fell off his necklace. The ball rolled over to Charz and he handed it to I.C. Surf was frantic looking for it- he didn’t put down his Poke, and when he saw she had it and was scared that she was going to break it.

Seeing that it was his, she reattached the ball to the string for him. When Prof. Oak came out with the other pokeballs, he asked if she wanted to have one, and she was going to responded, but Surf was already out the door with 10 cases of Poke.

He has been with I.C. the 2nd longest, but since he is more interested in his Poke and no training, he isn’t the strongest. Prefers to thinks about things, but when time for action he is on the frontline with a can of Poke. Surf gets along with Typh the most since they are on the same wavelength, though he does get along with the others as well.

Surf’s impish in a quirky kind of way, and often lost in thought- just don’t interrupt him or he’ll either electrocute you or thrown a crushed can of Poke at your head. Falls sleep if you don’t keep him interested. He doesn’t like his pokeball because it keeps him away from his Poke. Also, what pokemon team is complete without a Pikachu?*sarcasm* Surf, Typh and Dew are the most sociable out of the group.

Story: When going onto her journey to Johto, she was going to take Surf- Charz needed a break, but when she left on a ferry he wasn’t on the boat- she forgot to bring Pokes so he went to stay at Prof. Oak’s. She was told that Prof. Elm was going to meet her when she arrived at Cherrygrove City, but because of Elm’s forgetfulness- that and the fact P.C. was closed for renovation, she was stuck in the woods with every wild pokemon coming after her.

When I.C. finally got to New Bark Town, she fainted in front of Elm’s Lab, and was awoken by him whacking the door on her head- he was running out to meet her. Prof. Elm was at wits end because some kid stole a pokemon the other day- explains why he didn’t come, and he only had one pokemon left, a very small Cyndauil.

This young one later becomes the powerhouse of this team, Typh. Out of all these guys, he probably the most happy-go-lucky- he’s at leagues with Dew for this title. He gets along with others, but Typh probably causes the fights this team has- he usually eggs Charz on.

If one word could describe Typh it would most likely be jolly, and his physical state would be that he can take being hit. Though, out of all the others he’s probably the biggest flirt, not that he does anything but I think it’s the fact he likes talking and cares about the other pokemon- I hope this or there are going to be a lot of baby pokemon born. x3

Blazi (Blaze) the Blaziken

Story: Surf ditched I.C. again- seriously when is she going to learn :sigh:, but :thankyou: Prof. Birch was there at the port to meet I.C. Now she chose Torchic, and this little one wasn’t like the others. Nope, when Prof. Birch let him out of his pokeball, he went pale. O.O Poor little thing was scared of his own shadow, and Prof. Birch said he could go find another Torchic, but I.C. said “Why when Blazi needs me?”

Blazi wasn’t really made to fight, but when push came to shove he acted, and as he got older he still was a little shy but was happy that he had his friends there for him. Blazi attended his first contest, lost, but it really gave him confidence- I.C. later found out from Nurse Joy that she placed them both into the wrong level by mistake and that he really held his own for his First contest.

When the whole incident where the Weather trio went berserk, Blazi went up against all three, but kept getting beat by Kyogre- though he did beat Kyogre, it just left with admiration towards it…I think it turned into a crush.

Blazi likes to have bouts with Sonya- they both are the same type, and they are more like siblings than friends- he dotes on her. During most of the fights, he’s the mediator and usual the one that gets hurt. Blazi’s loves music- he doesn’t have a certain taste. The odd thing is that he is like the older brother of the team, even though he is 3rd youngest, but it doesn’t change that keeps an eye on the newest members- baby pokemon love him

Blazi is timid but not as much as he used to be, also because of that he notices the slightest of noises. Once when I.C. was shopping- Blazi waited outside for her, but when she came out he was surrounded by other pokemon. It was really awkward since they were all talking and with his keen hearing, he was getting a headache. Nurse Joy suggested that they should use any kinds of Repels to keep away unnecessary noises- though Blazi refused to do that.

Story: After sending off all her pokemon to Prof. Oak via computer, I.C. left on Kyogre traveling through the seas that separate the two regions- it took 3 days and let’s just say Kyogre is a speed fiend.

Arriving at Sandgem Town, and then sending to it to Prof. Oak. When I.C. went to Prof. Rowan’s lab where she came saw a Chimchar, and it was singing on the roof. The Chimchar looked down with delight and jumped onto I.C. Landing right on top of her hat- nearly knocking it off though she barely managed to keep it on.

“She looks happy to see you” said a stoic-looking man in a white lab coat, he looked to be about in his early 60’s and his mustache was twitched. I.C. turned to look at the man “Yea, she does…but why?” The elder Professor laughed and said “A young man arrived a few days ago, and said a young woman with light blue hair and a mark underneath her left eye would be coming. He also mentioned that this trainer always chooses fire pokemon as her starter pokemon.” The Chimchar was still hugging her, “You didn’t answer my question…?” Out of the Chimchar’s hand floats out a photo as it falls to the ground, the Chimchar picks it up and points to the picture. I.C. leans down to look at the picture…it’s her, but it was when 6. “Who…?” she was taken aback by the picture and thought ‘Who could’ve…!’

Professor Rowan burst out laughing because of her expression “It seems you have grown up a bit from when the photo was taken, but the young man said there isn’t much difference except for the hat. Since this little one didn’t have anyone that wanted her, I showed her the photo and told her that this was her trainer. So for most part of these last few days, she has been singing. So do you…?” He left the last part open and she said “Why do you guys always ask that? Of course I do! ” As I.C. scooped up ‘Sonya’.

It was Ben.

Sonya has a slight confidence issue with singing in front of others because when she was still in Prof. Rowan’s care, potential trainers wouldn’t take her because of it- this is good because she wouldn’t have met I.C. She is pretty quick to flee, but she is very relaxed when she’s near other pokemon.

Story: I.C. forgot to get a new map for the Sinnoh region, Sync was in hibernation mode because his batteries were dying, only 1 pokeball left, both Sonya and Shooter (Starly) are in the red, and the sun just went down…can’t get any worse. She heard some rustling in the bushes, and out pops a laughing Budew. The little Budew was jumping around I.C. and kept pumping into her like she was trying to show her something. Thinking that she was already lost, she might as well follow.

Going the through the bushes, the Budew continued to jump up above them to make sure I.C. was following. When they arrived out of the bushes, they were back onto Route 204.

Surprised that she was that close to the Route, she started laughing the same way Budew was, and turned towards Budew. Budew’s expression changed drastically, from the bright smile to the most menacing glare, it charged at I.C. a blinding speed, but she luckily was able to send Shooter to take ‘her’ down a few pegs, but made him return since he was only one shove away from fainting. As a last resort, I.C. sent out Sonya, who then grabbed Budew to immobilize her, but as Sonya was prepared to send out a few embers…Budew started laughing.

Budew started talking to Sonya, and from what I.C. could understand it seems that Budew was stalking them when they got lost, so she knew how to get back out. She was watching them all fighting and wanted to join the fun. Seeing that she wanted to join, I.C. used her last pokeball…a Heal ball.

Dew is a relaxed clown, and knows the difference between a good joke and a mean joke. Her and Sonya are pretty tight (basically they are girlfriends) and are usually are partnered up for double battles. She loves when the other pokemon get into awkward romantic situations, and usually has a bet going on with Typh with who is going with who- though he usually cheats by flirting with the pokemon in question, but whenever Dew feels that he might do that, she just goes to Charz, who is a firm believer in a fair game and has him stalk Typh.

My offical comment
This was a a lot of fun, and it helped me get over my art-block. I.C. is actually my character Innocent Chaos, and the other chracters that were mentioned are mine- just to lazy to draw them and post them on here.

I loved designing the outfits for this, too.

The pokemon are mostly my first trys on them, and I wanted to get them when they were not expecting it. Typh- expecting it xP
Blazi- was told ahead of time by Typh
Charz- mid-yawn
Sonya- Singing
Dew- goofing around
Surf- drinking his Poke

The funny thing is that I already was thinking of drawing human forms of these guys, so I had the personalities down. I, also, have these guys in the game, but Charz, Typh. Blazi, and Surf are not their game names- I just started nick-naming in Pearl.

I used a scanner, Paint program, Microsoft Office Picture Manager(this can't do anything), and a hell of a lot of will-power. This is the first time that I actually cleaned up on the computer and used Paint. I was a pain in the backside, but I can proudly say that I don't have Photoshop, but it doesn't mean that I can't use files that were meant for it. xD

Sorry if this is too long but I was planning on using this later if I ever got to the comic idea. xP

He also like to bite Sam's head- this usually causes a war and Sam sends out his Togepi(this Togepi is scary) to fight.

Story:When Prof. Oak was going to get some of the starter pokemon’s pokeballs, Surf was out of his pokeball to go get his daily Poke, and his light ball fell off his necklace. The ball rolled over to Charz and he handed it to I.C. Surf was frantic looking for it- he didn’t put down his Poke, and when he saw she had it and was scared that she was going to break it.

Seeing that it was his, she reattached the ball to the string for him. When Prof. Oak came out with the other pokeballs, he asked if she wanted to have one, and she was going to responded, but Surf was already out the door with 10 cases of Poke.

He has been with I.C. the 2nd longest, but since he is more interested in his Poke and no training, he isn’t the strongest. Prefers to thinks about things, but when time for action he is on the frontline with a can of Poke. Surf gets along with Typh the most since they are on the same wavelength, though he does get along with the others as well.

Surf’s impish in a quirky kind of way, and often lost in thought- just don’t interrupt him or he’ll either electrocute you or thrown a crushed can of Poke at your head. Falls sleep if you don’t keep him interested. He doesn’t like his pokeball because it keeps him away from his Poke. Also, what pokemon team is complete without a Pikachu?*sarcasm* Surf, Typh and Dew are the most sociable out of the group.

Story: When going onto her journey to Johto, she was going to take Surf- Charz needed a break, but when she left on a ferry he wasn’t on the boat- she forgot to bring Pokes so he went to stay at Prof. Oak’s. She was told that Prof. Elm was going to meet her when she arrived at Cherrygrove City, but because of Elm’s forgetfulness- that and the fact P.C. was closed for renovation, she was stuck in the woods with every wild pokemon coming after her.

When I.C. finally got to New Bark Town, she fainted in front of Elm’s Lab, and was awoken by him whacking the door on her head- he was running out to meet her. Prof. Elm was at wits end because some kid stole a pokemon the other day- explains why he didn’t come, and he only had one pokemon left, a very small Cyndauil.

This young one later becomes the powerhouse of this team, Typh. Out of all these guys, he probably the most happy-go-lucky- he’s at leagues with Dew for this title. He gets along with others, but Typh probably causes the fights this team has- he usually eggs Charz on.

If one word could describe Typh it would most likely be jolly, and his physical state would be that he can take being hit. Though, out of all the others he’s probably the biggest flirt, not that he does anything but I think it’s the fact he likes talking and cares about the other pokemon- I hope this or there are going to be a lot of baby pokemon born. x3

Blazi (Blaze) the Blaziken

Story: Surf ditched I.C. again- seriously when is she going to learn :sigh:, but :thankyou: Prof. Birch was there at the port to meet I.C. Now she chose Torchic, and this little one wasn’t like the others. Nope, when Prof. Birch let him out of his pokeball, he went pale. O.O Poor little thing was scared of his own shadow, and Prof. Birch said he could go find another Torchic, but I.C. said “Why when Blazi needs me?”

Blazi wasn’t really made to fight, but when push came to shove he acted, and as he got older he still was a little shy but was happy that he had his friends there for him. Blazi attended his first contest, lost, but it really gave him confidence- I.C. later found out from Nurse Joy that she placed them both into the wrong level by mistake and that he really held his own for his First contest.

When the whole incident where the Weather trio went berserk, Blazi went up against all three, but kept getting beat by Kyogre- though he did beat Kyogre, it just left with admiration towards it…I think it turned into a crush.

Blazi likes to have bouts with Sonya- they both are the same type, and they are more like siblings than friends- he dotes on her. During most of the fights, he’s the mediator and usual the one that gets hurt. Blazi’s loves music- he doesn’t have a certain taste. The odd thing is that he is like the older brother of the team, even though he is 3rd youngest, but it doesn’t change that keeps an eye on the newest members- baby pokemon love him

Blazi is timid but not as much as he used to be, also because of that he notices the slightest of noises. Once when I.C. was shopping- Blazi waited outside for her, but when she came out he was surrounded by other pokemon. It was really awkward since they were all talking and with his keen hearing, he was getting a headache. Nurse Joy suggested that they should use any kinds of Repels to keep away unnecessary noises- though Blazi refused to do that.

Story: After sending off all her pokemon to Prof. Oak via computer, I.C. left on Kyogre traveling through the seas that separate the two regions- it took 3 days and let’s just say Kyogre is a speed fiend.

Arriving at Sandgem Town, and then sending to it to Prof. Oak. When I.C. went to Prof. Rowan’s lab where she came saw a Chimchar, and it was singing on the roof. The Chimchar looked down with delight and jumped onto I.C. Landing right on top of her hat- nearly knocking it off though she barely managed to keep it on.

“She looks happy to see you” said a stoic-looking man in a white lab coat, he looked to be about in his early 60’s and his mustache was twitched. I.C. turned to look at the man “Yea, she does…but why?” The elder Professor laughed and said “A young man arrived a few days ago, and said a young woman with light blue hair and a mark underneath her left eye would be coming. He also mentioned that this trainer always chooses fire pokemon as her starter pokemon.” The Chimchar was still hugging her, “You didn’t answer my question…?” Out of the Chimchar’s hand floats out a photo as it falls to the ground, the Chimchar picks it up and points to the picture. I.C. leans down to look at the picture…it’s her, but it was when 6. “Who…?” she was taken aback by the picture and thought ‘Who could’ve…!’

Professor Rowan burst out laughing because of her expression “It seems you have grown up a bit from when the photo was taken, but the young man said there isn’t much difference except for the hat. Since this little one didn’t have anyone that wanted her, I showed her the photo and told her that this was her trainer. So for most part of these last few days, she has been singing. So do you…?” He left the last part open and she said “Why do you guys always ask that? Of course I do! ” As I.C. scooped up ‘Sonya’.

It was Ben.

Sonya has a slight confidence issue with singing in front of others because when she was still in Prof. Rowan’s care, potential trainers wouldn’t take her because of it- this is good because she wouldn’t have met I.C. She is pretty quick to flee, but she is very relaxed when she’s near other pokemon.

Dew the Roserade…Our Class Clown

Story: I.C. forgot to get a new map for the Sinnoh region, Sync was in hibernation mode because his batteries were dying, only 1 pokeball left, both Sonya and Shooter (Starly) are in the red, and the sun just went down…can’t get any worse. She heard some rustling in the bushes, and out pops a laughing Budew. The little Budew was jumping around I.C. and kept pumping into her like she was trying to show her something. Thinking that she was already lost, she might as well follow.

Going the through the bushes, the Budew continued to jump up above them to make sure I.C. was following. When they arrived out of the bushes, they were back onto Route 204.

Surprised that she was that close to the Route, she started laughing the same way Budew was, and turned towards Budew. Budew’s expression changed drastically, from the bright smile to the most menacing glare, it charged at I.C. a blinding speed, but she luckily was able to send Shooter to take ‘her’ down a few pegs, but made him return since he was only one shove away from fainting. As a last resort, I.C. sent out Sonya, who then grabbed Budew to immobilize her, but as Sonya was prepared to send out a few embers…Budew started laughing.

Budew started talking to Sonya, and from what I.C. could understand it seems that Budew was stalking them when they got lost, so she knew how to get back out. She was watching them all fighting and wanted to join the fun. Seeing that she wanted to join, I.C. used her last pokeball…a Heal ball.

Dew is a relaxed clown, and knows the difference between a good joke and a mean joke. Her and Sonya are pretty tight (basically they are girlfriends) and are usually are partnered up for double battles. She loves when the other pokemon get into awkward romantic situations, and usually has a bet going on with Typh with who is going with who- though he usually cheats by flirting with the pokemon in question, but whenever Dew feels that he might do that, she just goes to Charz, who is a firm believer in a fair game and has him stalk Typh.

My offical comment
This was a a lot of fun, and it helped me get over my art-block. I.C. is actually my character Innocent Chaos, and the other chracters that were mentioned are mine- just to lazy to draw them and post them on here.

I loved designing the outfits for this, too.

The pokemon are mostly my first trys on them, and I wanted to get them when they were not expecting it. Typh- expecting it xP

Dew- goofing around
Surf- drinking his Poke

The funny thing is that I already was thinking of drawing human forms of these guys, so I had the personalities down. I, also, have these guys in the game, but Charz, Typh. Blazi, and Surf are not their game names- I just started nick-naming in Pearl.

I used a scanner, Paint program, Microsoft Office Picture Manager(this can't do anything), and a hell of a lot of will-power. This is the first time that I actually cleaned up on the computer and used Paint. I was a pain in the backside, but I can proudly say that I don't have Photoshop, but it doesn't mean that I can't use files that were meant for it. xD

Sorry if this is too long but I was planning on using this later if I ever got to the comic idea. xP
