As of now, neither gem classifies as a crystal gem. Peridot, specifically, is wholly aligned with the Homeworld, and as for Lapis, it remains to be seen who she'll side with (crystal gems or homeworld gems) but due to her time trapped in a mirror, it is likely she was on the side of the homeworld during the war between the crystal gems forces guarding earth and the gem homeworld around 6000 years ago.
