A really good tutorial Jess, I'm pretty sure it's going to help a lot of people out there I'm often asked how to draw dragon and I'm sure you are too, now I know there's a realiable source I can send people off too

Well... reliable in a sense that you know about anatomy so people will have a good start at drawing dragons, because they can get an idea on how they work as living creatures. It's something that many people don't really take into account when drawing fantasy creatures, but making something fantastic look normal is the key, or so I believe.

ouch. I remember those old days before I got into illustrator and photoshop. Bloody paint by pixels. I despised that program with a burning hatred.

money is always an issue. Thank god for birthdays! and other gift giving holidays if you celebrate them. I wouldn't know were to find it online. And I would imagine that it would be somewhat limited in what you could do with it.

check out creationengine.com. They usually have the best prices. Maya costa about $6000 but I got it from there for a little over $400. I wouldn't imagine if you got just photoshop it would be more than 100 or so for a student version.

ooo.... nice job! that will help give me some ideas... though for some reason i can't get the maw correct when my dragons face the forward... always look flat. lol

then think in shadows, or line weight. you know, use heavy lines for shadows, thinner lines for everything else.

(by the way.. i have a drawing of Infernus and Liun fighting... ok its mostly Infernus but you see Liun's head! he came out a little different than i originally planned but hey. i like it lol. ill have the sketch up at some point)
