So, I've had quite a few people ask me how I draw the things I draw, what's my process? Well, I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, and I FINALLY accomplished my goal!I've put together three tutorials to illustrate my drawing process, and this is the first of those three: The Sketch phase.
I used my "Rain" drawing and as I went along, scanned in each and every step to save and put this together after I finished it.
I used MS Paint to put it together, so it may not be very eye catching in appearance itself, but I hope it will still be helpful none the less.

I love that pose you set, and have tried for a few years now to imitate the style.
If ever I used your techniques in my future works, would you have a problem?
I mean, I am trying to create more of my works with your personal style of art, and I have taken my time. The best I done, is a similar pose of your character, except that it is brooklyn.
Does that make me a copier?

I don't think so, I mean you're being straight with me so for that I am completely thankful and very appreciative of it!
That being said, you say yourself you're trying your own hand at it, so I don't have a problem with that. Other than being heavily influenced by Disney, my "style" has kinda come about just via me observing other people's art and just taking note of how someone drew a hand here, or clothing over here, or whatever. I learn by observation myself.
I say just do whatever feels natural and fun to you! By all means if you'd like to take a shot at some of my own techniques then go for it.

i never woulda thought to use a kneaded eraser for sketching, i usually just use it for charcoal and stuff. I might have to give that a try now

Yeah typically that is what I've used my kneaded eraser for before myself, charcoal, and some graphite drawings like my "Ford Ignition Key" drawing where it was a combination of erasing and drawing with the pencil used equally to create the drawing.
However, I've found it comes in very very handy when doing the eraser steps on my sketches since I can flatten it and it's fairly easy to direct how hard or lightly you want to erase. Plus it's much easier to get rid of the pencil lead that collects on the eraser, my Pink Pearl erasers are all pretty black looking lol.
