Description
Here is a screenshot of the Main Menu of The Force Awakens in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga so far.I give this movie 7 of 10.
The Force Awakens takes place 34 years after The Return of the Jedi. And 38 years after The Battle of Yavin.
On October 30, 2012, Disney bought LucasFilm from George Lucas for $4.05 Billion, (George Lucas later regret that after seeing what they did.) not wasting any time they quickly got to work on making the Sequel Trilogy. Not wanting to do what was novels of what is now called Star Wars Legends, Disney made up their own story for Episode 7, but they decided to play it safe taking some ideas from the Original Trilogy. Because The Force Awakens is consider a requel movie. (A requel is a reboot and sequel put together. This is because Disney are not allowed to touch original Star Wars trilogy with anything but What If stories.) They also never had a proper plan for The Sequel Trilogy, they just made it up as they went along.
The original script was going to have Luke Skywalker appear midway through the film, but the current LucasFilm wanted to be about the new characters so that part was changed more than once. The director of this movie was J. J. Abrams, and his last film before this was Star Trek Into Darkness.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With a budget of Budget $447 million Star Wars: Return of the Jedi earned $2.071 billion at the Box Office in 2015. While all the Sequel Trilogy movies made money at the Box Office none made more than The Force Awakens.
Note: Normally the breakeven point on movie is three times the budget of the movie. Because movie theater gets around half the profits and the budget doesn't count for the marketing.
