This is a wallpaper I have made using 3d renders from Bungie.net.It features the six members of Noble Team from the upcoming Bungie title Halo Reach.

is it just me, or do the 3s not feel like Spartans but just soldiers in armor? the 2s were awesome because they were meant to be the best, strongest, and fastest soldiers. The 3s:however, were made to be canon fodder hardly better than the average soldier. they are actually described as "a fire and forget solution". the 4s (from halo4) actually feel like Spartans again!

I guess you can (in someway) compare Spartan IIβs as Navy Seals and/or SAS. While Spartan IIIβs modern equivalent would be Delta Force and/or Royal Marine Commandos.
(Though idk if thatβs a good analogy or comparison).

3's were the black ops of the UNSC (AKA expendable). They were just as good as 2's, using drugs instead of implants. They didn't have as advanced armor as 2's. But Noble did because they were the best of the 3's. Nobody knows they exist. Lets just say that 2's are like Navy SEALs and 3's are something we will never know.

yeah i think this is from the Halo wiki but the 3's were actually said to be a "second phase" of the Spartan 2 program. but yeah i agree with you on that
