Continuing the working concept art for my Winx redesign au, we're now on to transformations. For Layla I chose Greek influence mixed with sporty activewear. I tried to make her outfit look more like a swimsuit while being fight conscious and I think it worked. Her top is basically a bikini wrap top over a transparent glittery bandau, and her shorts have a abalone belt. Her gloves are transparent and fingerless with Algae designs on them. Her boots are semitransparent with wave designs, as if the waves are climbing her calves. Her wings are like beta fins, the fighting fish, due to her fighter personality. The colors were hard to get right, but I settled on the same Aquamarine/Morphix pink combo from her casual. I tried to incorporate an overall mermaid aesthetic with her transformation and I think it works!

I'm drawing this series completely by hand, so no bases whatsoever! However, I am using constant references! Hope you guys like it! Next up, Flora!
