cuz Soren had perfectly Healthy eyes but the kids in his childhood got mad at him at trew some liquid that damaged his eyes.
Good think Ike's father got him to the hospital in time to save his eyesight when he taught that he was gonna be blind forever(all he did n had was read books) Soren just wanted to die and he almost killed himself but Ike stoped him and made Soren promise never to kill himself thats one of his sad past.
