Could you explain to me what Poser is exactly? I work with Softimage XSI 4.0, and tho I would never change that! hehehe. I Just would like someone to clearly explain to me what ya do in Poser, because to me it does not sound like 3d max, maya or xsi. Please and Thank you

Thanks very much,my friend. Basically,Poser is like a 3D,virtual camera,that has just taken a blank photo.*hmm,confused look yet?*You start off with the blank and add the components of the photo:ie character(man,women,animal etc),clothes,hair,fiddle with the pose of the character,different lights,maybe a background.Once your happy with the composition,hit the render,Poser does the rest.It is also very good for animating.Hope I haven't confused you too much.Feel free to note me with any other questions though,if I have.

oooohhh!! I see! Cause when I looked at models done by poser I could always tell it was a Poser model, without it stating the program used. So, ya don't have to model anything? Ya add stuff, like hair or cloths which you can change either by color or size etc? I hope i grasped this! lol Thats pretty neat! Well thank you so much for your help. D

Yeah,you pretty much grasped the concept.There is a lot more that Poser can do,but would take half a book to tell [link] are correct though about not having to model anything like 3ds max or similar programs.
