Description I've been reading the little kiddie books for a while now about the younger years of Captain Jack Sparrow. I admit at first I thought they were going to suck and make him out to be a tragic, abused, emo child, but I was very happy that they kept him the same person as he is in the movie. Only you know younger, and back in the day he wanted nothing to do with piracy or rum. But as he said to Will Turner "Pirate is in your blood boy and you'll have to square with that someday." I also loved how the books explored into Jacks personality, his reasons behind leaving his life with Teague and the rest of his family as well as piracy all together. I especially loved the "father"-"son" relationship between Teague and Jack (It was never confirmed or denied weathor or not Teague is his father but I'm pretty sure he is.) I like that they gave him a pretty normal family life except they were ruthless pirates. Anyways....
So yeah, I decided to draw my own version of the young Sparrow. Big differences, no kohl (eyeliner), he hasnt aquired all his beads but a few he gets from Tia Dalma, he doesnt have his rings except for one on his thumb (which you cant see from this angle) which will become the green one on his right index finger when he grows into it. Ring was given to him by Teague, it supposedly has the power to control people and make them do what you want but it doesnt work all the time, actually rearely doe it work for Teague. Also no dreads and shorter hair. He's just a teen give him some time will ya lol.

I did this is sketcher at [link] . Its rugh and unfinished because I ran out of time before the room reset itself.

I guess it all depends on Keith Richards, if he is in a 4th one I would assume it would be a small part like this was. But Teague was a very interesting character I have to agree. I was glad to see they imortalized him in action figure form.

Teague is mentioned in the 11th one just as sort of allusion back to the tenth book and what had happened. But other then that no he isn't any big part of character in the 11th.

Yes I read it and yes she does. Perhaps I shouldn't spoil it too much but there is a twist concerning Arabella and a new character who is also a character in the movies.

Aye William Turner (Bootstrap Bill before he was called Bootstrap Bill) is there and is Arabella's love interest, I can only assume she is Will Turner's mother.

I remeber reading an interveiw with Johny Depp about working with the actors. Teague is his father. Though I do wonder why they made his mom into a shrunken head.

I know Teague raised him and Jack calls him Dad no doubt about that. But it was never confirmed or denied weather Jack is Teagues biological father. There are't any birth reccords in the Piratea Codex so it's hard to say even though yes I think Teague is Jack's biological father, but in the books Jack even second guesses it. So playing it safe and all that nonsense.

Yeah I do actually recomend the books, they are actually pretty good in their characterization of Jack. So far there are 11 the 12th and final book is due out soon.

Oh I love the series and I'm 18!! I just started Sins of the Father and I also think Teague is Jack real father. Come on they dress, talk, look, and act alike

Yeah I finished Sins of the Father last month some time, it was really good and I thought it only furthered my reasons why Jack is my favorite. I think it is his Dad but its never confimed or denied, but when he asked Teauge "hows mum?" in the last movie I can only believe thats his dad.

Totally!! I love the books. I think they help you know Jack even better and I can't believe Fitzy could betray Jack like that. I haven't gotten past that part yet, but still I myself have to agree with Jack and say I never would have thought the boy could do such a thing.
