Liked Capcom before their business started to go down. I remember my first Capcom game being Power Stone while the latest was probably Resident Evil: OperationΒ Raccoon City.

I mean seriously, I'm not just going to forget every great game Capcom has made in the past and are still making to this day just because of a few cancelled Mega Man games and a couple lackluster RE games. Are we just gonna pretend that the Ace Attorney series doesn't count? Or Strider? Or fucking Street Fighter of all things? I don't care if there hasn't been a Mega Man game since 2010, Metroid fans like me only have 11 games in the series and haven't gotten a new game since 2010, and you don't hear us complaining. Besides, even without a new game or even his original creator, Mega Man is still featured a lot in their other games (and I'm not just talking about Smash Bros.). Okay, so Mega Man wasn't in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which isn't a complaint with much merit seeing as how Zero and Tron Bonne were. But is anybody even talking about Project X Zone? You know, that big crossover RPG for the 3DS that came out ONLY LAST YEARΒ featuring SEGA, Capcom, and Namco Bandai characters all together in one game, only some on the roster including Ulala, KOS-MOS, and... who else? Oh, yeah: X, Zero and Tron Bonne all as playable characters in a 2D hack-and-slash tactical role-playing game. I'm sorry, what are the complaints here again?
Look, I'm not gonna pretend that Capcom hasn't pulled some stupid shit in the recent past, but I dare you to name one game company who hasn't made mistakes just as dumb. Hell, I'm more pissed at Konami for turning Silent Hill into a shell of its former self. You think RE has it bad? At least they tried to give it the same feeling as RE4, and attempted to make it still fun to play even if it wasn't as scary as most wanted it to be; I barely recognized what happened to my beloved hell-on-earth town after it was taken to the west. Hopefully Silent Hills will redeem their status, which does show a lot of promise. Not to mention how furious I'll be if they don't return to the original Castlevania canon now that Lords of Shadow is finally over.
Bottom line, I see no reasonable reason to hate on Capcom for pulling really dumb stunts when I can name similar things done by other companies that are just as dumb, if not worse, on top of a whole mountain of incredible things they've done in the past and present.
