Description
On his way to Counter-Earth in the 1970s, astronaut Commander Thomas Hatfield was caught in a radiation storm that transferred his body into pure ectoplasm. Essentially now a living ghost who could only interact with the world over long periods by animating his space suit. He could, however, for short periods, use his ghost form to perform poltergeist-like feats, possess people, and go anywhere he wanted unimpeded. He used these abilities to act as an adventurer and superhero on Counter-Earth and its moons under the name Phantasmonaut before retiring in the mid 80s to help build the planet's new media landscape (using his knowledge of Earth movies and TV as a starting point). By the 90s, he had become the planet's first late night talk show host. He has since retired from the physical world and now lives disembodied inside the airwaves.
