...Possibility: Sogoju based on the Sando Aqua Monster from the Star Wars prequels. Also, smaller, weaker Sogoju could be based on critters like The Black Scorpion, Them!, and other creature features of the 50s - the Rattatas and the Pidgeys and Caterpies and Zubats and such.
