Just found out it's Goblin Week. The goal is to draw or paint a Goblin or something Goblin related every day for the rest of the week. I'm starting off with a Redcap, a Goblin (or Goblin-like creature) from the folklore of the borderlands between England and Scotland.

Redcaps are malicious creatures that haunt abandoned castles and are remarkably swift, especially considering the iron boots they wear. In fact, it's impossible to outrun them. They get their name from the red hats they wear, which have to be regularly soaked in human blood. If a hat dries out, the Redcap dies. They are also described as holding pikes in their left hands.
