Scientific name: Metapanthera metapanthera (after-Panthera)
Height: 0.5-0.7 meters (1-2 feet)
Length: 1 meter (3-4 feet)
Weight: 90 lbs
Habitat: Plains
Distribution: Old World continents and Australia
Descendant: Feral cat
Lifespan: 15-20 years
- Since the big cats has faded away after the departure of humanity, the feral cats, the somewhat successful ancestor of the mettapanther, have the chance to take their role, evolving into large pantherine carnivores.
- There are about 4 subspecies of Mettapanther.

that's not how that works. they are not going to evolve and be the same creatures when they are on 2 very differentΒ sides of the world. and there's no way they can make it to the americas, because it's isolated.

Well you could've also had the American mettapanthers be a convergently evolved sister group that don't look the same anatomically, but are very similar, kinda like the old/new world vulture thing
