Summary:

"Matthias." she repeats, and the way she says it… it lacks that rattle. His ears perk. It's an involuntary thing. Somehow, he didn't expect her to say it back to him, aloud. It’s pronounced, soft, as if it’s something precious she’s been given. His tail moves slightly, a little twitch at the end. He didn't expect that, either. Whatever it is that runs through her mind is left unspoken as she adjusts, turning so she can look at him properly. “It’s as unique as that coat of yours.” And then, finally, he glances at her.

"It's pretty."
