The toko had been following James now for awhile it seemed. After the encounter from previous days, the two were no closer to bonding than they were to being wary of one another. However, this didn't stop James and his curious nature; nor did it deter the tokota of keeping an eye on him.
As the sun had been setting, James had been make shift ice-fishing out on the waters, while the tokota too found himself inching closer to the hole in the ice. It had taken James a good half hour to use some stones and recycled thread to form decent tools, and even longer to catch a fish. The bachelor had been eyeballing the spot, keeping a close watch on the line as it bobbled to and fro below the surface. Once it began to shake, the beast had given a loud, bellowing bark. This threw James off-gaurd, and as he pulled the line, the fish had gone sailing from the device.
The toko had lunged himself upwards and allowed his thick jaws to clamp against the small aquatic creature, soon to tease the man with his stolen goods.
James had just laughed.
