I used Painter 9.5 for this pic, and I use almost exclusively for digital art. Other good programs are Photoshop, Open Canvas and Illustrator...You may want to try a few trial versions of different software programs so you can find out which one suits you the best. There's also plenty of free programs wroth checking out. [link]
I recommend Open canvas 1.1 and Artrage.
