that's really cool, I like the huge amount of detail in this. how long did it take you?
how would you actually go about unwrapping such a thing? I mean, that must be horrible, no?

it's easier to unwrap something like this than something organic. basically, you can go with the base mapping techniques like box or planar mapping.

hehe, ah yeah, I can imagine that oranic stuff is twice as difficult. but still. unwrapping is the thing about 3d art that puts me off
