Hehe, I promised TAEAddictChick to get these up.
Just fired up that scanner today and decided to scan the two most popular characters.
I think they're kinda awesome.

They are. I never was sure if it would be worth to buy the book or not, but guess it´s not since there is only one image of Preed in it and it is the same you see as scribble on the bluth-wiki. I also have it in my sta'sh and made a colored version of it.
But I really HATE it when my favorite characters are not even painted rightly.
This happened in nearly all the franchise of the Toon Patrol where I nearly bought everything you could buy.
And Preed doesn´t seem to be an exception.
I can understand when it is hard to paint a small figure, but in an art book, the characters should have the colors and markings like shown in the animation cells.

Well, I don't think it's that bad.
I also really like Stith's pose. Her body proportions seem just right in that picture.
Mantrins are pretty hard to draw but I've got a few really nice ones in that fan art collection of mine.
It's all about the proportions, especially the size of the legs compared to the rest of the body.
Not sure about the colors. They're a bit faded but the scanner's to blame for that.

Yeah that´s very true. I always kinda draw the mantrin legs too thing and sticky or something XD
But I am not used to draw them like I draw Akrennians though.
To me a print fail is very bad but I always was very a perfectionist about that. I was able to draw the markings of each weasel of the toon patrol perfectly and none cared about that when I was a child and because none cared, none was able to differ my characters.
Even today people never get to know their names and say other names they have in their heads. Maybe Wiesli and Wusli are uncommon names and especially for English people because I am sure you would spell them different than German tongues do.
But none ever got to know their names except me.

Yesterday I was sketching a little on my Galaxy Note.
The result wasn't that bad but it's kinda hard drawing on a screen, even with the pen.
Maybe I should just grab a piece of real paper and a real pen. LOL
I really wish I could draw better but I guess I should've started at a much younger age. XD
This is really the first time I really want to be able to draw something because it interests me.
Never really like those school assignments. They were boring.

In school I didn´t really learn anything either, except maybe how to use different colors for example how to paint with oil paint or acrylics and other stuff. What I hated was that we always had to do themes which never interested me, for example when we learned to make prints we were forced to make a print of ourselves. I didn´t go with it because I hated the fact that I am a human and made myself as a weasel LOL I got a bad graduation for it.

What would the average Mantrin have to say about humans?

They would call us degenerated species for sure XD
Because I think all humans think animals are degenerated because they can´t speak, need their instincts and don´t have their own will. Well that´s what most humans think off. But humans are degenerated because mother earth made every species to survive and humans wouldn´t survive in nature, because they don´t have the claws, teeth, fur, thick skin, their legs and whole body shape is useless to jump, fight and run faster than other animals.
And for aliens like Mantrins and maybe Akrennians too, they would be an easy prey LOL
