((My first game for the PSP was Ape Escape OTL and Marvel Ultimate alliance. Ever since then I always thought of Specter as an evil guy, and the dee bradly baker voice sold it. I often think he'd be the perfect pet monkey for Doctor Doom XD))

[[Ahh, my first Playstation game was the original Ape Escape. XD I remember me and my bro were in a Blockbuster checking out the game section when we saw the third game and we were all "8U THEY MADE MORE?! *Instant buy*"
And technically, he is pretty evil :U Trying to enslave/destroy/etc mankind and whatnot by ruling over as an evil monkey overlord. Which y'know, makes him more of an awesome bad guy in my opinion XD]]

[[I hacked out a lung when I saw there were more, I found it a bit disappointing they weren't as good as the first, Million monkeys being the only other AE game that ties in place with the original/psp remake. And believe me, I always have to have the On the Loose version with me, that's the first game I always re-buy if I loose the UMD disc and so. I liked AE3, but I feel they tried to replace Dee Bradly Baker with someone who sounded similar to him for AE3 despite the fact baker only did the Specter voice for on the loose. (Baker voices the clone troopers in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, so I hacked out a lung there too when I got my favorite voice actor doing my other favorite series as well). That Charlie guy that did the AE3 voice was... I hate to say it he took away all of Specter's goodness, and so did 4kids. I know plenty of people hate the PSP remake for the line changes, but one thing that most agree with is they should have let Baker do the voice for Specter every game since then, and Sony shouldn't have sold out to such a horrid anime dubbing company to take over Ape Escape. In AE2 he says "Die!" and in the British version in the final fight he does say "Damn it!" instead of "Darn It" like in the American version.

Ah the days before everyone had to go crazy over what kids can "handle" in video games XD]]

[[Pffft! I was watching a LP of the final battle of AE2 and was like "8l Did Specter just say 'damn it'? *listens more closely* 8U HE DIIIID!" I always had the British Version for voices living in the UK and all XD I decided to pop in my copy of AE3 to watch through the movie theater and suddenly realised what they'd done to his voice in the third game 8'3 Comical typical villain type voice...Gonna have fun playing through that again.]]

[[Oh yeah, AE was AWESOME until 4kids got a hold of it, we didn't even get a MM copy released here in the USA because of them! Now I hate to be the one to bash a company, and after this I'll hold my tongue, but when I watch Pokemon and they are eating something that is OBVIOUSLY a Japanese rice ball, why in the name of Spike does 4kids try to call them donuts? >:C

XD I liked the British version better, I.. could not stand Specter in AE3 and the only good part about his final battle was indeed the remixed AE1 "Welcome/Specter's theme" track.
