What happen if Sonic take the role of Mario with his sucessful games? The Mario fanbase would end up with all the complaining and Nintendo would be like Sega with the crying fanboys alike.

I feel like every fanbase has crying fanboys and girls because they can't take criticism. I mean both Nintendo and Sega have made very memorable games, it just happens that Sega was just too ambitious with Sonic and completely side tracked from what made Sonic good. I mean I like Sonic, up to SA2B, there is one thing however that people like from Sonic and that's Chaos, if they just made a game based on raising Chaos I assure you it'd sell big time, it's all people want.
