Is it bad that I like Vader better as a character than Anakin?
Vader is ruthless, he's cruel, but he's also tormented, he's in pain, he's got those emotional wounds that leave room for his redemption. He's a really interesting and complex character, all the while maintaining the classic image of the "big, bad Sith Lord" who goes around blowing up planets and looking intimidating.
Anakin's just a whiner.

I don't blame you. Vader was a classic cinema villain for all the ages. Anakin Skyweaker was at best a flawed hero and at worst a whiny brat. I enjoyed his character much in idea then execution.

Well I brought it up because the first time I watched the film, and every subsequent viewing made me go: "Tai-Lung makes a better Anakin Skywalker then Anakin Skywalker."
Seriously, his relationship with Shifu and Oogway is very close to a Yoda and Obi-Wan dynamic. It would have worked so well!
