The colors are great, I will give it that.. but the camera's focal point seems to be a bit too long to make it exactly photo-realistic, IMHO..
As a user of Bryce 5.0 and Poser 5.0 both, I can appreciate the world of 3-D rendering, and this is definitely a good surrealistic render, but I would not go so far as to say I would mistake it for a photo, as someone else in here did..
More like a wonderfully executed painting.. Some of your other works in here seem to be more inspired, in an effort to be completely honest, and I will be commenting on those next..
BTW, what is your opinion of Terragen?

The way you set this up is almost as if it's there's night and day, heaven and hell, good and bad. But within all there is that middle section. A limb that is unchanged and remains the same.

Whu-holy shit. This is mind-boggling. The horizon is so inviting and precise. I love the colour differences in the reflction... it's probably not the intent, but gives me a whole " duality-of-man" idea.

Wow, one of the most skillful renderings I've ever seen... one thing that caught my attention.. is the planet/moon supposed to be an oval? The angle of curvature at the top edge makes it look like it is..
