Fayt interferes with the destinies of all things both through direct and indirect means. His schemes are insanely complicated and his plans so extraordinarily long-term it may be that none other than he will ever see the end of all of them.
The red strings of fate is also referred to as the red thread of destiny and are part of a legend well known in the East. According to this myth, the gods tie a red cord around the ankles of those that are to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. What others do not realize is that Fayt even holds control over these. He pulls at the strings of the hearts; plucking, twisting and weaving them into a web of his own design.
Unlucky are the ones with such misfortune as to be caught within the web of Fayt; for theirs is a fate hung in the balance.
