Cover to my 7-page story "Mashed Potatoes." I did this as an independent study class with the head of the art department my junior year at college.

It started off being well over 60 pages when I tried storyboarding it, but I obviously realized that wasn't going to happen in one semester, so it ended up being chopped down to a mere 8 pages, which I barely finished in time. Though it isn't really funny, liked I was trying to make it (mostly due to the fact that my art teacher was pushing me in a more serious tone than a humorous one), I'm still pretty proud of it.

We pretty much laughed our heads off when I suggested the title of the comic xD Though its tone is a fairly serious one, there is some underlying humor.

This cover piece was completely digital, while the rest of the comic was done traditionally (including using an Ames lettering guide for the lettering, which nearly killed me!)

I gave all the teachers who helped me with the project a physical, printed copy of the comic, and after that, was able to sell around 10 copies. Yay for moneys off of comics!
