okay I was bored and I tried a pic with gradients and gausian blur and let me tell you this so looks 3-d it's amazing and to beat it all it was done on a freeware paint software program called paint.net, it's like a mini version of photoshop and I love it.to download the program just go here, it's a step below photshop but a step above Ms paint it's pure love for me it also allows you to do killer lineart.

Did you added some purple lines over it on an other layer and used the gaussian blur effect after that ?

Oh yeah and btw, I hope you'll do an other like that of Mephiles... Maybe in an other pose or with someone else like Silver? That would be awesome ...

Yeah, Mephiles is made of some sort of dark ooze. Everytime he appears in the game trough that dark smoke you can here that there's some liquid sounds.
Otherwise, I like the colors and how you draw the liquid, it's awesome!
