Silicon trees were a once very successful clad of lifeforms. However in the modern era they only live on the island continent of Perdira. Which wasn't hit as hard as the rest of the planet. They have a symbiotic relationship with an algae-like organism which gives the silicon tree energy. It is unknown how the silicon trees evolved as they don't have a good fossil record as they shadier after they die. The lifeforms that evolved to eat silicon trees evolved incredibly strong guts to digest the hard surface of the silicon trees. Also sorry the art doesn't look the best I had to use a mouse.
