Description I had to create something of a tutorial for imaging class, and since a few people on the last page requested it, I decided to post it on DA as well. If anybody has any other questions, feel free to ask them, if they are important enough, I may even add it to the author's comments here.

Thanks a lot for this, it'll prove me very helpful if I one day get the courage to digitalize my pokemon comic!

p.s. amazed that you work with gimp... I could never figure it out properly

Gaussian blur! That's how you make your comic look so soft! :3

I'm almost ready to begin doing digital artwork for the first time but I need to practice on the pad.

I gotta say, I'm impressed by the complexity of the whole process you go through with your art work. As it stands right now
I can't even begin to comprehend most of this due to not having used nor researched the use of layers. However, I'll definitely
have to favourite this and slowly figure it all out bit by bit over time.

Thanks for taking the time to write such an in-depth tutorial .

That's a very interesting way of adding shadows and highlights!
We have a number of similar methods too, ahah. (Such as separating foreground and background elements by their own layers for shading)
I tend to avoid using adjustment functions for color correction like hue/saturation unless I'm going for specific effects (such as the sepia tones for flash backs, lul) I do make some adjusting to the contrast though. Certainly things to keep in mind!

Photoshop CC is $19.99/month, and you can get a free trial, for a month.
