This piece had done everything but killed me at this point The sketch I used as a base was devastatingly old when I started out and because I have abandoned this a couple of times it is pretty much ancient now. I have a lot of drawings that are worse than this one in my gallery but this is still the artwork that hurts the most to look at. What kept me going to the finish was that I was very enthusiastic about it when I started coloring it and I did put in a lot of effort. I could not let it all go to waste because the work felt outdated.(Funny thing that there are needles on the ground when they are in a broad-leaved forest
) I wish I could say that there is a story to this... but if it were it would be nothing more than the typical zelink story: Zelda was never made to be a locked up bird in a cage. She wishes to explore Hyrule but falls unconscious in the Lost Woods (due to something that leaves her pride intact - in other words: not because of something petty like a wolfos attack ) and is found by our favorite forest boy. And so their story begins once again...

Thank you very much. I do not know if it would make that good of a fanfiction but it seems as if there are quite a few where Zelda leaves her castle and they often have a better plot than what I can come up with

Yeah, I know, right? She's always getting kidnapped and saved, kidnapped and saved. It's horrible! Zelda doesn't really seem like the type to NOT get sick and tired of that stuff! I think that her going out into the woods by herself would be allot more fun than waiting in the castle to be kidnapped. Or chilling in some dungeon.

Well, I do not think that it is that bad in the games. The real problem is the fans who seem to think that it is the most romantic thing in the world to let Zelda hang around Link like a useless sack of potatoes and worship him - as long as she is not kidnapped she can apparently be how defenseless and pathetic she wants to. It is as if no one cares about the circumstances under which she is kidnapped because all that matters is that she is kidnapped and then she is weak?

No, she is not weak. If she had a little training from Samus, then she could whoop anyone who tried to kidnap her's behinds! not to mention she already has Sheikiah training, so she could already whoop their behinds! (Sorry, I love super smash bros brawl, and I think of Zelda, Samus and Peach being friends, but Samus and Zelda would be closer...Lol. I guess I just like to put Poor little underestimated Zelda in some action. you know?)

I agree with you and I love Super Smash Bros too. Actually, I do not think Zelda even needs training from Samus. It's just sad circumstances that you need the Master Sword to banish evil and she accomplishes so much in spite of how little room she has to act.Β

Yes she does! My idea came from a comic from Soma011, I'll give you a link--The replacement by Soma011 --In this Zelda did some of Samus's jobs for her. My idea is that the People found out that it wasn't Samus in the suit one time, so they took her to Samus's place to find the REAL Samus sitting on the couch--Like in the comic, but a little more sophisticated--Samus stood up for Zelda and pointed out that she'd completed five missions at SAMUS'S level and didn't even have any training. Of course after that Zelda became a part of the team. But she only works odd jobs, seeing as she has allot of other things to do...Yeah, I'm weird that way.
