Background
Arathar is one of the most powerful men in the entire anubian kingdom and one of the last of his house. The current patriarch and head of house Savinxazan, Arathar is the father of Karaz and one of the most powerful sphinx-blooded men alive. In his own opinion, Arathar is second only to the emperor of the Nubian empire and there are many who would agree. The house's wealth is legendary and Arathar commands most of it and the only thing lacking is a proper heir. Karaz, being born a runt, has never earned his father's approval and while he does have his father's blood, there are few suitable females left that carry the proper amount of Sphinx blood to propagate through the blood line.
Arathar spent his youth as an adventurer and warrior, much to the disapproval of his father. Risking his life on more than one occaction, Arathar is one of the few living men who can claim that he has slain a Firedrake from the mountains. Thescars he carries on his chest from this prooves he is a warrior of both skill and power. From his younger day, Arathar holds his best friend and servant Aroun as a personal guard and manservant.
Arathar is the father of Karaz, with whom he has a strained relationship due to the later not living up to his father's expectations.
Aroun serves as Arathar's most trusted servant and body guard.
Reya became the personal plaything of Arathar once he learned of his sons endavours to let his pack play with her. As a punishment, he took her and made sure Karaz new.
Personality
Arathar is rightfully arrogant and proud, but also intelligent and scheming. He has great plans for the future and he seeks to elevate his family's position as they are among the few who could rightfully claim the title of emperor if the current emperor would perish without a suitable heir to take the throne. He is very unforgiving and if angered, deals swiftly and decisivly with the source of his anger. Yet, for his intelligence, he can't see that he is hurting both his son and his best friend with the punishment wrought upon his son by taking Reya as a plaything.
