Ok, but I went on my first volunteer “job” today, and it’s babysitting shelter puppies for like, three hours.
You literally just sit in a pen with a bunch of puppies (usually a litter) and clean up after them, pet them,
play with them, and let people hold and pet them, hoping they’ll get adopted! I had six, twelve-month-old
pittie puppies, and two of them got adopted! My sister had the rest of the litter. They were SO cute, omg.
I’m going again next week and they’re giving us shelter shirts! My hands are scared for life from puppy
teeth and talons, but I literally don’t care it was the best experience ever.
