Finally finished, based on photo ref by . Go and check out his photos!It took me few days to complete, no colors though. Still don't know how to work with them... Drawing chain-mail was pain in the ass so I painted torn cloth or cloak instead.

I tried to paint the chainmail for hours or so. I did custom brushes and textures, but they were useless because chainmail is folded in layers and every layer is in another perspective and shadows are being thrown in various angles. Painting it ring by ring should be inhuman effort.

I used some texture I found on my hard drive. Then threw quick lights and shadows and finally added threads.
And I used default PS brush that tooks like a chalk and Sharpen filter at the end.
