It was just the 18-55 mm kit lens that came with the camera. i think all the details popped during the editing phase, increasing the sharpness really defines the lines on the shell and thank you so much

Whoa really? Just 18-55mm....that's what mine has on right now. You seem to be realyl good at all of this kind of stuff, so maybe I'll just ask you for the photo tips. One other thing: what do you use to edit the photos? Thank you so much!

also....being my annoying self, how do you get the camera data to show up at the bottom of each deviation, on the right hand side?

i use the digital photo professional that came with my rebel xs. i just tried editing this week. it is all about trying things to find what you like. and also auto focus helps. just ask if you want to know anything else
