Description
Story: "Beetlejuice Afterlife: Dark Shadows"Nothin' hotter than an angry Beetlejuice!
In this scene, he just had too much of that creature's meddling with his family (since he lost his son and it's been hurting people and messing with everyone). So, in this picture, he's fighting it.This is one of my very favorites. I spent 3 days on this picture and am proud of the results. The background was done in pencil then Illustrator, and BJ with regular pencil and ink. All the color is in Photoshop. Here is a [link] to a closeup of just BJ so you can see the detail I ground into it.
I have this pic posted on Mediaminer.org as well, and it was selected as a "Showcase" piece because I guess it was that good...and yet I only recieved one comment out of the months its been there?

You should probably read "BJA - A New Beginning" first, if you haven't already. Because "BJA - Dark Shadows" is the sequel. So you might get confused about events in the story.

Wow, your work really needs more love, you totally deserve it. I haven't read this far in your fan fiction but it's absolutely stunning any way.
The rain and the sparks, I know many people have said this, but those details really make the picture that much prettier and intense.
The attention to detail on BJ is also very well done. I'm a sucker for ripped clothes and scrapes. I'm also glad you weren't afraid to get him a little bit muddy.
I really like your fan fiction world wherein he has to go through all this, it's positively facsinating and I hope you continue to make more soon. ^-^

Thank you so much for commenting! I really should have made him more cut and bruised up, and added more mud and rain and all that jazz. But it was a long time ago that I did this. Ahh hindsight.
And thank you also for approving of my slightly skewed BJ dimension where it's more serious but still has some slight BJ-humor going for it. Haha! It was fun to create, and I'm glad a few people out there enjoy my ideas.

The lighting is well done (love the sparks!), though surpisingly not as "dark" as your description would suggest. You might want to give the rain more layers, too, and show where the rain hits surfaces.
Beetlejuice himself looks fantastic - much more pretty than I remember him

Awesome. I love the classic cartoon, and despite the style change you still managed to stay true to the original design, the Roadhouse looks awesome in the background too.
