"'Are you okay?'
ERRG right when I had the whole description typed out I accidentally deleted it. Well, a long time ago I said I’d make a little 'unofficial' epilogue of 404 Protocol. (Unofficial because a continuation was never really agreed on after bioatomic wrapped it up with her amazing animation.) But I thought I’d share my thoughts on how I think it might end. That’s right, it was all a nightmare. Plot twist.
Having it be all a dream seemed more realistic to me than it actually happening - because we all know that The Spine is a gentle giant, not a malfunctioning violent machine. c: There will be no words in it, because symbols, I felt, have more of an effect. They should be easy enough to guess at, but for clarification on the 4th panel, The Spine is explaining how Rabbit powered down on his shoulder. Again. (He is suddenly concerned when he notices the oil stains on his vest from Rabbit crying.)
Remember, this is just what I think might happen and is not an actual part of the comic. Next page is coming soon!"

Ohhhh this is so cute. I also like to think that it was just a dream, because The Spine (and the others) would not act violently.
But I can totally see this as something they might fear.

Though... I have noticed that it's rather popular to have Spine as the one who, through some program malfunction or other, turns evil.

I've noticed this as well... though I don't agree necessarily that that would happen, to each their own! I think the only instance so far that I've really loved of this happening was in Giraffesonparade's fic, I Just Wanted to be Human. It was really well written, and very believable.
I wonder if he's always the one chosen to 'turn evil' because he's always the 'straight man'. Or the one who's no nonsense and keeps to himself?

I'm not sure... Though, I have seen a short comic where Spine acts all evily and whatnot , and I could actually see that as more of how he'd act if a malfunction did make him evil.
Honestly, I could actually see Hatchy turning evil because of a malfunction. Mainly cause he's the innocent one.
Wonder if it was something David said that sparked it...
