That's a real fine example of a digital painting, but something about the placement of the head bothers me. I'm not sure if it's the proportion or not. Other than that, you did a great job.
A lot of digital paintings irritate me because they don't have the subtle textures and brushstrokes that traditional paints do. It's kind of like they have a bland personality, but this one has a certain softness without running it through an obvious filter.
I think that my favorite parts are his eyes and his mouth. They just radiate skill.

I really surprised myself with this, the eyes and especially the mouth just came out so well. I can see some obvious problems like proportion but I'm not sure how to fix them

Proportion takes a hell of a long time to get down. Especially when there's different proportions for everything, but it's true. Practice makes perfect (unless you're in a HUGE artistic slump, then everything sucks.) XD

I love the softness of his face, but also how his eyes show a bit of anger possibly ?
The only suggestion I have is to do something more with his shirt maybe...I don't know, it just seems a bit plain. Different gradients, or shadows?
