Yea, I need to think how metal looks like. I found some tutorials and brushes on PSP9 last night. I might practice on some of my line art I got saved.

Coloring tutorials have really helped me, and if you can find some specific to the software that you're using, you'll probably learn lots of little tricks that can help you to get the look you want really quickly. They certainly helped me in that regard. I was so doing some things -- shading, especially! -- the long and hard way, and after all that work the results didn't look half as good as the stuff I did the short and easy way.

Well, I tried and it looked okay, I didn't save it.
I think I'll do digital for line art from others and stick to the color pencils for mine. Traditional is slowly dying and I want to keep it alive. I have to feel it in my hands, I guess.

I think it's great that you want to stay old skool. If that's where your interests lie, then that's what you should stick with, for sure. It can be fun to try new things, though. For me, though, I suspect that I will always prefer and likely be much better at digital stuff than traditional. If nothing else, digital soothes my laziness.
