I was bored yesterday and the day before so I decided to try and experiment with rotoscoping again (for the second time?? )!I basically know nothing about animation (we dont have animation classes at my school or anything related so I havent been exposed to it much, yet). But I still like to try it out anyway... I don't think I really have the patience/attention span/stamina to be a true animator, but I do love the outcome and way it feels to see a drawing come to life. I also don't know much about physics and inertia and gravity and all that.. which is pretty important in animation xDD Not to mention, the process was getting so annoying and tiring for me that I didnt really finish the entire gif xDDΒ

haha I just separated the frames and traced each one periodically until I had most of them done..I got burned out almost all the way through and technically there was still like 4 frames I needed to do but it loops pretty well without them so I just kept it where it's at.

/okay I've been staring at this for like maybe the past minute straight?? It's just so fluid and no matter the frame his face just looks so cute *o*
I also totally love how the bottom of his jacket reacts to the movements too - like it's how it should realistically move, it's just such a neat little detail that would be easily overlooked but sells it so well 8D

haha that is one good thing about drawing each frame one by one instead of copy/pasta xD I could draw each face as cute and unique as I wanted...although I think the only effective place is where he closes his eyes to twirl.Β
Thank you tho omg.. Β I actually think this one is less fluid than it started out. I made a rough draft version to get all the frames right and I still think it's actually smoother and easier to watch than this one... but I really like this one though. xD
I knew I wasn't going to get the movement in his hair and hairband right (doggoneΒ physics) but I knew I could at least get the vest/jacket thing to move xD So thank you! That's like the part I'm most proud of, besides the closed eye twirl xD
and omg yeah I would freaking keel over if he actually danced in canon xD

My main focus for this was consistency so I'm glad I reached the goal xDΒ
I also draw him a heck of a lot and screenshots from the show give a variety of poses and angles of him so I had a good amount to work from for reference.
