Oment Sevs share the same traits as regular Sevs except for their obvious differences, such as eyes and hoods. Some oments do have eyes though, but it is a mutation.

LORE

Oment Sevantis, or better nicknamed the Corrupt Sevantis are a subspecies, or rather the original version of the Sevantis.

A purgatorial monster that can cross through multiple levels of purgatory, they were first created by Mausoleum when he was trying to make servants. This creation went haywire and escaped from Mausoleum, beginning to overrun several areas of purgatory. Years after this incident, Mausoleum finally succeeded in making a stable Sevantis. Oments are a large enemy of the Sevantis, and the two species are in constant scuffles. They are mostly stuck in purgatory, but there have been stories of Oments escaping this place by entering the dreams of a life form, then manifesting itself into that world.

These creatures are souls that are in limbo. While plenty of other souls are in limbo in purgatory, these souls are much more powerful, and much angrier. They provide clear examples of one of the seven sins. However, some can embrace multiple sins, and are more dangerous. The sins an Oment revolves around determines a lot about their personality. An Oment with greed will steal and take. A gluttony Oment will constantly consume anything, including other Oments or Sevantis.

For the most part, these creatures don't do much in purgatory since they're already dead. Some that have escaped, however, will wreak havoc according to their sin.
Their ultimate punishment is memories of what they've done in their past lives. They're forced to think about their mistakes over and over. It isn't uncommon to see them talking to themselves or crying.

REPRODUCTION

Oments are asexual, and cannot breed. They come into existence when a life form dies and has committed terrible acts. It then becomes an Oment if its feelings or desires are powerful enough to generate a body.

COMMUNITY

Most Oments tend to group together with those that share their same sin (they probably fight a lot though unless they're lust Oments.) However Oments grouping with other sins is not uncommon either. Gluttony Oments tend to be solitary, however, because the other Oments fear being eaten.

OTHER

Their body colors vary, but they tend to be a dull color with specks of bolder colors. Their mane is littered with scales and feathers that tend to be bold in color. This exists to distract enemies from other vitals.

I got my inspiration for their anatomy off of Mausoleum, those xenomorph aliens, and the shadowy people from the midnight planets in Starbound ;u;

Oments are as big and as heavy as Sevantis generally. Some have become quite huge however, especially gluttony based Oments.
