Gamora was only 6 when she first met Thanos, when he went to her planet to wipe out her species and planet in half with his army. He took a liking to Gamora and raised her as his own daughter, to make into the perfect assassin for him. She ended up as his favourite. Gamora would end up being a part of Ronan's troops when Thanos started a team up with Ronan, but she betrayed him and went on her own to get the orb to stop Thanos, when she found out why he wanted the stones to eliminate half of the galaxy to give Death the Half of the Galaxy for her to rule and to make himself believe that it would help the Galaxy thrive.

She met Peter Quill (Star Lord) and she attacked him to grab the Orb from him, but he escaped and she was caught by Rockret and Groot, but was then caught by the Nova Corp and thrown to the Nova Corp Prison where she escaped with Quill and Drax, then got Rocket and Groot out for their help. She would help Quill out to stop Ronan and she would become, part of the New Guardians of the Galaxy. Some years pass, and she and Star Lord are in a loving relationship and soon where married.

In Avengers: Infinite, After they were married, she and the Guardians where captured by Thanos at Knowhere, where he takes her to Vormir, where she was traded for the Soul Stone as the slave to the Soul Stone Keeper. However, she was able to disappear from the keeper when The Hulk snapped his fingers back for everyone back and she returned to Star Lord. She joined the others on the fight and was able to destroy Thanos once and for all. After that, she and the Guardians go back to their great adventures. She and Star Lord would have a child in the future soon.

Gamora is modelled after her MCU Counterpart, Wonder Woman from Wonder Woman: Bloodlines and the classic Gamora.
