Description
The Sentinels were designed to capture and neutralized all mutants good or bad. They were commissioned by the governments to make sure that all mutants were taken care of so real people didn't get hurt. Boliver Trask was the one who designed them after being mistaken for a mutant since he had dwarfism. He made the Sentinels to take down the real mutants and be left alone about them. The Sentinels were designed to handle any kind of mutant, it can go down through a fight, however it is very weak against Adamantium and Kitty Pryde's powers. Trask made sure that any new mutant that is registered, he would program all Sentinels how to handle it.

In AVX: Civil War, they were debating if they should end the Sentinel Program, but Trask convinced them to keep them so, they can put all of the mutants in Prison 42. They agreed, but the condition is that they be put in trial and see if they are guilty, if not, then they can't go to Prison 42. However, Bolvier decided to put any powered hero in the Sentinels list of targets. But, they were discontinued 3 years after Avengers: Infinite, when Beast becomes the first Mutant Vice President of the United States of America. But, parts of the were sent to museums to show of what they can do.
