My first attempt at coloring one of my pieces with photoshop!!!I know it's crap but I share it with you anyway!!!!

that left leg is impossible, and as for your coloring, for a first attempt its pefectly fine, thought i can't find a legitimate lightsource or shading. just highlights.

Concerning this leg, I did it knowing it was perfectly impossible to have it this way. I was only concerned by the dynamism of his pose!!

one thing, the leg that's behind him is not at the right angle. Check out how the foot is in relation to the knee. The way his foot is positioned, his knee would be above the foot, not at the same level. the way the knee is now, you could twist the foot so that you're reallying just seeing the bottom of the foot and then on up, and that'd work.

Tried it and it didn't work the way I wanted, so I did it anatomically wrong to get the right dynamic feel I wanted!!

One thing I noticed about editors and pro's who've seen my work is that when they see stuff that is working and right and good and then see one element that's out of wack, it throws them off and changes the vibe. It's similar to story telling, when one panel doesn't go with the pacing or how the story is going and then it goes back on track, it makes the reader do a double take and messes with the flow. I am just swingin you this advice because I know you're a really good artist and you're getting better, but these may be the little things that hold you back.

Me? Honestly, man, your linework wins over my linework just about every time. You got some great stuff. You gotta do some sequentials and start submitting those! Maybe to smaller companies first, but you're definitely at that level of quality. I'd like to see your storytelling capabilities, but other than that -- you're awesome.

Well you captured the impossible flexibility of Spidey, all right.
From a color stand point I'd say the red looks rather flat. Especially when you put all that reflection/shininess in the blues.

It's scaring me, I don't like using comp to color, I even don't like to do it myself but these days if you can't do it, you're nothing!! I have to change my ways too!
